Sydnee Monday edits children’s books at Kokila/Penguin Random House that teach young people about love through history, art, imagination, community, and playfulness. A descendant of Race Massacre survivors and newspaper publishers in Tulsa, Oklahoma’s historic Greenwood District, she studied Film and English at Howard University. They’ve written for NPR, Marvel Studios, Washington City Paper, and more.
